A sneak peak at the new Instagram Business Profiles

At long last, Instagram will come with analytics, as part of their new business profiles. There have been a few apps on the market to work out the best performing times, and check which of your Instagram posts were the most popular. However, it makes a lot of sense for Instagram to provide this in-house.

This is all part of a move to make Instagram align more closely with Facebook. Other features to look out for include a 'Contact' button and a 'Get Directions' feature. 

It'll be a while before this is widely available, but this looks like great news for businesses everywhere...

Earlier this year, Instagram confirmed that they were developing new business profiles to help brands and small businesses succeed on Instagram. Last week, we shared the first screenshots of the new Instagram business profiles being tested, and today we’re able to share more screenshots about a major feature that’s being tested: Instagram analytics. And they look amazing! Similar to the analytics for your Facebook page, these new Instagram analytics (or, Insights as the app calls them) gives you valuable data about who your followers are, when they’re online, and how many people viewed your Instagram post. Here’s a peek at what they look like on iOS, with more details below:
