Some would say it's taken too long, but Linkedin have finally released a new design to their app, which makes it even more possible to do business on the go.
A smoother messaging process, and ability to easily edit your profile alongside your usual newsfeed, all on separate tabs makes it far easier to use. It's also far easier to use alongside Pulse, which is a great way to keep up to date with your industry.
It's certainly an encouraging sign, as we are finding Linkedin the most powerful of social networks for B2B communication.
My only reservation? They still haven't made it possible to send a personalised message when you connect with someone. You still have to go to a computer to do that. Come on Linkedin, it's all about the personalised approach these days. Fingers crossed for a 9.0.1 update soon, but at least they're heading in the right direction...
The wait is over. Our much anticipated new LinkedIn mobile experience is now available globally. We’ve not only rebuilt the new Flagship app from scratch but we have taken everything you love and more to develop a mobile experience that is more intuitive, smarter and dramatically simplifies your LinkedIn experience. We know time is scarce, so we made it as easy as possible for you to connect to your professional network and stay informed about the conversations and content most relevant to you. You’ll see that we’ve streamlined the app into five core areas — Your Feed, Me, My Network, Messaging, and Search.
