Figures suggest that including video in your emails can increase click-through rates by 55% and can increase ROI by a whopping 40%.

With many email clients using out-of-date technologies, there are of course barriers to using video in email. However, this can be overcome by using a fallback image, or animated GIFs for those clients that will not display your video.
