Content, content, content we hear it all the time! We're constantly told we should be creating interesting and engaging content. You'll be hard pushed to click onto a marketing blog without noticing the phrase 'content is king' at least three times.

So what's the point? What are we trying to achieve? This article from Entrepreneur sums it up very well. The aim should be to create content that is of interest to your target audience that will engage them and eventually earn their trust.

So how do you do this?

Create a personality through your writing don't be afraid to use humour, it's important to establish your style and keep this consistent. 

Be memorable as pointed out by Entrepreneur, it's important that your content is memorable. Back up your information with data, and be seen as a well-informed thought leader among your sector.

Try to stand out from the crowd and do something a little different to everyone else. Think outside the box, get creative and take a different spin on a topic. You don't want to blend in!

Consistency and offering content of value are both important factors in earning the trust of your target audience. Take some time out of your day to think up fresh, new ideas that will benefit your audience and go with it. Don't be afraid to try something new and don't be afraid to be different!
