One thing all busy marketers wish for is more time. We might be making a decent dent in our to-do-lists (before a helpful partner tops them up again!) but what about our personal to-do-list? How can we make sure we achieve the things we deeply desire?
Ballroom dancer turned performance consultant ( and PM Forum 2015 Conference speaker) Shona Rowan shares her short, snappy and practical tips to ensure you meet your personal goals in the months ahead. Perhaps something to think about on your lounger by the pool?
The reality is, specific goals (written down) are proven to increase our focus, strengthen motivation, help us come up with a strategy/plan of attack to make our dreams a reality, engage the right resources/support, and they also help us measure our success. Out of all the areas of peak performance, goal setting is one of the fastest ways to raise the bar and improve your results.
After every big competition, my dance partner and I would reflect on our last performance, analyse what we did well and what we could do better next time, and then set new goals. The thing with goal setting is that once you see how powerful it is, you want to use it time and time again to create an amazing life and career.
