Passle, like many firms, is now looking at how to embrace the best bits of remote & office-based working. In asking around the team I was pointed to Gitlab (thank you, Theodoros Klikas), an entirely remote company. It has no headquarters, it's very successful with over 1,000 staff and has been doing this for 9 years.
It has published this fascinating set of resources on how to manage, work in and compensate remote teams. There's timely advice on mental health & burn-out but also detailed information on internships and on-boarding. The whole range of HR and management issues.
The video below discusses how to manage remote teams - really interesting stuff. There's a lovely story about managing Russian & Californian teams a few minutes in.
