56% of all email is opened on mobile

Around 30% of email is opened on webmail and 20% on desktop says the report.

The problem is, of course, that most email campaigns are designed and tested on desktop. 

Given that volume read on mobile is only going to rise in the coming years, it is surely time for shorter, more concise emails - designed mobile first. 

Litmus’ Email Analytics tracks open emails from over 1.4 billion sent emails and reports that emails opened on mobile devices has risen and held steady at 56% of all emails sent.
