Bank Holiday B2B Marketing? Perhaps not.

We have a Public Holiday here in Britain this weekend which (this being Britain) has opened the doors to endless conversations about the probability of rain.

However, given that the holiday is theoretically only one day off (and not for everyone) it is extraordinary to see the levels of activity on the UK part of Passle network starting to slow days in advance.

This is a clear indication that the Brits are not focussing on their work and have their attention elsewhere. Across the board we see this extremely strongly around the Christmas and New Year break and a little bit around school holidays but if the statistics are to be believed, this weekend coming is being embraced several days early. Often traffic doesn't fully recover until a couple of days after the break as well.

Perhaps not the best time to get your Business-to-Business message across.

Workers don’t have an automatic right to paid leave on bank and public holidays in the UK, though most full-time workers receive a paid day off work, and casual workers receive pay at higher penalty rates.
