'Driving traffic to our website' & 'Generating Leads' were the two most consistent issues for social media marketers in 2016.
These are basically the same point twice. In the vast majority of cases you have to get people to your domain to create worthwhile leads. Using the networks to distribute content & raise brand awareness is valid but at some stage you have to bring them to your domain in order that the sales process can be activated. You must have good content on your website (not solely on the networks) to get that started.
There is some good information in this report from Buffer for boss bullying. Link below.
Fifty-eight percent of marketers said that driving traffic to their website was one of their main social media challenges, followed by generating leads (49%). Measurement and ROI continue to present problems for a large percentage of marketers, too, with 42% of our respondents listing it as a challenge they’re facing.
