What does brushing your teeth for 2 minutes achieve?
Absolutely nothing unless you do it twice a day, every day.
It is the consistency. The accumulation of brushing your teeth day after day that protects them and prevents them from falling out.
It would be redundant to measure or find a metric to assess the value of brushing your teeth for two minutes, but rather more reasonable to evaluate this over a longer time frame. For example, if you invest in a new whitening toothpaste, you wouldn't expect this to have an impact after the first brush. Instead, you might review the impact over a weekly or monthly basis.
Simon Sinek (motivational speaker and author) uses this analogy to explain how central consistency is to successful leadership.
The same is the case when it comes to creating content. You cannot expect your audience (more importantly your clients & prospects) to perceive you as being an expert after creating one piece of content. It is the accumulation of regularly delivering insight that positions you as the 'go-to' resource.
Your expertise, timeliness, and relevance will determine the value of your content (the same as if you were to present face-to-face) but it is through consistency that you will ultimately get your message across.
