Legal Tech Talk- My Session Highlights

It was my first time at Legal Tech Talk and so i wasn't sure what to expect.  When i arrived i was like many of the other attendees, lost in a sea of stages, vendors and talks that i didn't want to miss.  Over the two days i met some fantastic people and listened to some brilliant panels as well as experience the beer bike around the venue and the infamous after party.

I thought it would be handy to share the summaries of some of the best sessions I attended all in one place:

From Billable Hours To Business Impact: Reinventing The Lawyers Role

The panel consisted of Mark Wasserman (CEO Emeritus Eversheds Sutherland) as the moderator and making up the panel, Emily Gill (Co-Founder, Levra), Sue McLean (Partner, Bird & Bird), Jae Um (Co- Founder, Lumino Works) and Ben Allgrove (Chief Innovation Officer & Partner, Baker McKenzie).

What Will Tech Start Ups Look Like In 5 Years Time?

I attended this session at LTT with a real vested interest and enjoyed what the panel had to say.  The panel was well moderated by Angel Investor Vasile Tiple and he was joined by two panelists in the form of Tom Slate (Director of Projects & Innovation, Shoosmiths) and Whitney Stefko (Director and Senior Counsel, Ford Motor Company).

What If You Were To Build A Law Firm From The Ground Up?

Straight after lunch at LTT on day 1 I raced over to the Frost stage for an excellent panel that debated how a law firm in the modern day, could and should, be built.  The session was moderated by Rory O'Keeffe (Founder, RMOK Legal) and the panel consisted of Clare Murray (Managing Partner, CM Murray), Shainul Kassam (Founder, Fortune Law), Paul Foster (Head of Product SA Global) and Lucy Murphy (COO, Linklaters).

When AI Stops Becoming A Buzz Word In Your Firm

My second to last panel of the 1st day of Legal Tech Talk was all around the maturity and adoption of AI at law firms.  George Hannah (Founder, Best Practice) moderated a panel consisting of Emma Dowden (COO, Burges Salmon), Philippa Von Seth ( Head Of Knowledge Management, Setterwalls) Andrei Salajan (Director of legal tech and innovation, Schoenherr Attorneys) and David Bartolone (VP Strategic Partnerships, Wolters Kluwer).

The Leaders Panel: From AI Pilots To Firm-wide Capability, What Comes Next?

The closing keynote session of LTT 2026 proved really insightful and was moderated brilliantly by Shanin Lott (Global Law Firm Practice Leader, Russell Reynolds).  The other panelists included LeeAnn Black (COO Latham & Watkins), Simon Ridpath (Managing Partner, Charles Russell Speechlys), Christian Lang (Founder & CEO of Lega- now owned by Barbri) and Christy Bentz (Chief Client Value & Innovation Officer, Norton Rose Fulbright)
