Business Development from home - plan, focus & attitude

If there is anyone you want to reassure you in a time of crisis it is Mo Bunnell of BIG.  An expert in business development within professional service firms Mo has created a series of videos to help us get through the next few days, weeks and even months.

These are challenging times and it is tough to start working in a new way.  In the video below Mo recommends that we focus on starting a project and focus on the things that we can control.  Importantly we need to do something where you can see incremental growth - when you end the day know you did all you could.

In summary Mo's great advice is:

1. Be helpful to your clients and prospects as a friend.  List who it is you want to reach out to.  Be ambitious.  Write down the list of names and divide it into number per day or week.  Run a campaign to reach out and see who you can help as a friend.

2. Run a 'give to get' campaign and share your knowledge, consultancy or advice to help your clients.

3. Work out what your company can do to help your clients/prospects and then act as a broker to help your contacts.  Add value.

This will help your clients and it will help you take control - and feel more positive.  You will be focussed on being helpful and kind - and we all need as much of that as possible.

Thanks, Mo!!
